Add Some Punch With Colour
Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 9:00AM Did you know that colour is the fastest way to make a punch?
You can change the way you are perceived by the colour you wear. Colour has the greatest affect on you emotionally.
Here are some examples of colour preferences and how they are linked to personality:
Yellow: warm, cheerful, inspired, creative
Grey/Beige: controlled, calm, cool
White: skeptical, questioning
Blue: traditional, stable, sensitive, refined, responsible, conservative
Orange: bright, social, optimistic, outgoing
When you put on any of the colours above...think about how they link to your personality and if any of your attributes are listed above.
From an image perspective colours can correspond to different messages.
For example, if you are going for a job interview or looking for a raise you should wear navy blue. Why? Well, navy blue is considered formal, conservative, cool, powerful, and authoritative. You will find you have more luck than if you are wearing grey. Grey corresponds with anonymous, noncommittal, blah, and you tend to blend in or seem like you are trying not to be noticed. If you are going on a date...whether it be with a husband of years or a new mate, try wearing red or pink. Red is perceived as passionate, noticeable, warm, romantic, and sensual. Pink means feminine, delicate, and nonaggressive.
Why not let your clothes do the talking for a change!
